Dr. David L. Sumrall is our Senior Adult Pastor, leading ministries targeted to adults age 50 and over.   He joined our staff in January 2020 after having served 28 years as an Air Force Reserve Chaplain.  Retiring as a Colonel, he was assigned or did backfill in six states and was deployed to Kuwait and South Korea. Additionally, he has served as a Georgia State Prison Chaplain, Special Education Teacher, and Pastor or Youth Minister in churches in Mississippi and Georgia.  He is married to his wife Joyce, and they have four children and eleven grandchildren.   Pastor David has a Bachelor of Arts from Mercer University, and a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Theology from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He likes to spend his time with his grandchildren, reading, and travelling.  His life verse is Proverbs 3:5-6.
